Delhi Mahila Samman Yojana: Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is set to hold an important meeting today regarding the Mahila Samman Yojana. After taking the oath, she stated that the BJP would take steps to fulfill the promises made before the elections. The CM announced that women would receive ₹2,500 per month. According to her, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, women in Delhi will start receiving ₹2,500.

Who Will Receive Benefits Under the Scheme?
Before the elections, the BJP had announced in its manifesto that if it forms the government, it will launch the Mahila Samriddhi Yojana/ Delhi Mahila Samman Yojana. Under this scheme, eligible women will receive ₹2,500 every month in their bank accounts.
Will All Women Get ₹2,500?
The BJP’s manifesto clearly stated that only women from economically weaker families in Delhi will receive the ₹2,500 monthly allowance. Delhi Mahila Samman Yojana is specifically designed to provide financial support to poor and needy women.
How to Apply?
Similar schemes are already running in other BJP-ruled states. In Delhi, applications for the Delhi Mahila Samman Yojana will be accepted online. An official notification regarding the application process is expected soon. A decision on this will likely be made in the meeting scheduled for Saturday, after which the registration process will begin.

Required Documents
To avail of the benefits of the Delhi Mahila Samman Yojana, applicants must have the following documents:
- Aadhaar Card
- Proof of residence in Delhi
- Aadhaar-linked bank account
- Income certificate
It is expected that only families with an annual income of less than ₹3 lakh will be eligible for this scheme.
Who Will Not Receive ₹2,500?
Women who file income tax or receive other pension benefits may be declared ineligible for the scheme. Additionally, women employed in government jobs (permanent or temporary) will not be eligible for financial assistance under this scheme.
