What is LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana?
The Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has introduced the Bima Sakhi Yojana for women aged 18 to 70 who have passed the 10th grade. These women will undergo a three-year training program that will enhance their financial understanding and teach them the importance of insurance. During this training period, they will also receive some financial support. After completing the training, they will be able to work as LIC insurance agents.
Afterward, there may be an opportunity to become a Development Officer. Under the Bima Sakhi Yojana, after completing the three-year training, women can be appointed as LIC agents. However, they will not be regular employees of LIC and will not receive the benefits available to regular employees. Under the LIC Bima Sakhi MCA scheme, selected women will have to meet certain performance standards every year, which will be set to ensure the success of the program and the growth of talents.
